As a small-town library, you typically would not expect an extensive collection of books, but you will be surprised with how many and how diverse their book collection is. Might I add, they have a host of very friendly staff.

The museum was once a train station but had to be repurposed to start serving as a museum, later in its life. This is a small town, but it does have a remarkable history and at this museum, you can step back in time and explore the history of Vestal.
Occasionally, they host events, be on the lookout for event schedules.

The drive through the winding streets of Vestal to get to Arnold Park was almost as interesting as hanging out at the park. Conveniently located on the Vestal NY hills, it is an expansive park that is equipped with the necessities for a memorable picnic. The park has trails for those who would prefer to start their hike there.
If you are planning a picnic, then you are sure to find tables, pavilions/shelter and other picnic enabling items. One of the things we noticed in this park is how clean it was, no trash littering around and cleanly cut lawns.
Therefore, if you have kids and teens, know that they would enjoy a visit to this park. The young ones can play in the sand box or slides or swings that are available and the older ones can play volleyball, football and more.
To use the pavilions, you must make a reservation and rent them. While there, we saw other tourists who came with their bikes in tow. The park will definitely make the list of places to visit in Vestal, New York.
