This article will focus on the top best fun things to do in Victoria Tx. It is located about 130 miles away from Houston Texas and it is a relatively small city with about a population of 65,000 people.

The city is generally considered to be located on the coastal plains, with the Gulf of Mexico about a 45 mins drive away.

If you love the outdoors, then you will enjoy your trip to Victoria Texas. Some of the most popular outdoor activities to do in this city are hiking, biking, and kayaking.

The Victoria Paddling Trail provides the opportunity to engage in all of them. The trails are four in number and add up to a total distance of about 25 miles.

They are the Riverside Park, Mission Espiritu Santo, Fort Saint Louis and Chisolm Trails. Another alluring feature of the Victoria Paddling Trail is that it bends and flows along the Guadalupe River.

This provides a panoramic view of the scenery surrounding the trails. One of the boat ramps we saw is directly opposite the Rose Garden inside the Riverside Park. Entrance into the staging area for the ramp was quite steep, so you have to descend gently.

It is the largest water body in the city of Victoria and measures about 3,100 Acres and was originally established to be the primary source of cooling water for the Coleto Creek power plant.

Currently, the reservoir has a nearby park that measures 190 acres and is open to public use. There are various activities that can be done on the lake/reservoir and in the park.

There is an area reserved for swimming and fishing. You can paddle a canoe or kayak on it too, as well as water skiing.
