The Museum of The American Railroad is a popular attraction for tourists in the Frisco Area.
It was founded in 1962 and focuses on accurate representation of the past, as it regards railroads and rail equipment, as well as what its future holds.
This museum was originally within the Dallas city limits but has recently been relocated to its new home in Frisco.
They have an indoor area with lots of exhibits as well as an outdoor area with many mothballed trains and railcars for tourists to tour. We particularly loved our tours. During the tour of the Locomotives outside of the building, behind the fenced area on the track, we got to learn a lot.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our inquisitive questions. On the inside, there is so much to see too.
We enjoyed exploring the miniature railroad, rail equipment and terrain model. It helps you to visualize how trains and industrialization interacted in the past.

One thing we noticed while visiting Frisco Texas is the ubiquitous number of parks and playgrounds.
Almost every neighborhood has a park or playground, of course, they were all of differing sizes. However, the Frisco Commons Park isn’t a neighborhood park, rather it is a city owned and run park.
The size and different amenities present in this park reaffirms that too. You can organize and host events in this park, please, make sure to reserve a pavilion for your desired date.

It is such a popular attraction in the Frisco area, I mean, the Cowboys are the most valuable NFL team, so we weren’t surprised about the facility’s popularity.
In addition to going to the venue for a graduation ceremony, we also took time to tour the star district. We really enjoyed our meal at the Lombardi Cucina Italiana restaurant.
There are a lot of fine restaurants and bars within this district, as well as shopping outlets.

The Frisco Public Library just moved into their spanking new multi-million dollars building. This ultra-modern state of the art building is situated in the same facility that houses the discovery center and the museum of the American Railroad.
In truth, tourists can easily spend the whole day in this facility and will have no moment of boredom.
This library has a lot of very helpful and cheerful staff members, who are quick to welcome you with a smile and eager to provide assistance. This innovative library is technically at par with the best in the world and very family and kids friendly.
The interior finishing is so fine, the woodwork and pod stations were nice and comfortable to use.
Our verdict: we enjoyed visiting this library and will go again if we come back to Frisco TX.

The more the merrier, eh!! The National Soccer Hall of Fame is currently located in the Toyota Stadium and its mission is to showcase American Soccer talent and history of the past.
The National Soccer Hall of Fame experience was very entertaining and hands on. I enjoyed the various “Get In The Game” challenges, especially the ball juggling and shooting challenges.
The virtual reality experience was awesome too, I have always imagined what it feels like being the center of attraction, in the middle of the pitch.
Since my knees are giving up on me and I am not getting any younger either, I got to have the feeling in virtual reality. Hehehe…dreams are valid.

The National Videogame Museum is in the same building as the new Frisco Public Library and The Museum of The American Railroad.
As I had opined above, you can really visit this facility and spend the whole day without running out of things to do. This museum is perfect for people of all ages.
In our own case as older folks, we were filled with nostalgia during the tour, while reminiscing of our younger years playing early days video games. For the younger ones, they will also enjoy this museum.
Without a museum like this, they can only imagine what video games looked like years ago, in fact, I doubt if imagination alone will be enough to depict the game play or graphics in the games of yester years.
That is where this museum comes in handy, you do not have to imagine. You can re-live the old days and the younger generation can get their hands on all those video games from the past.
